Not bad really but Vartran?

Thinking it'd be so-so like David Kelley's Lake Placid, I was pleasantly surprised. The Aussie accent brings something new to my ears and the cinematography is just right to create angst.
Sole question I have is: What does Vartran do aside stare, glare, pout, and utter a couple sentences with the same emotion-lacking face? ;)

You may not have liked it, and I may not have thought it sounded good, but the director pulled it off well IMO. Vartan goes from cocky American to total puss to reluctant hero. It's just an opinion but I liked it.
