"Prey, grabbed in the jaws, is usually drowned. Contrary to popular myth, crocodiles do not store uneaten food and most certainly do not prefer rotten food." Okay, for one this is a fictacious movie. Meaning, they do not have to go completely by the book get a grip. Hell if people are gonna whine about this, I'm VERY suprised they're not whining about the size since Crocs can't grow that big.
Two. "Oh how can she survive a death roll?" That I shall answer. You CAN survive it. If the animal begins its infamous death roll (rapidly spinning), make sure that you roll your body in the same direction of the crocodile's roll. The reason behind the crocodile's death roll is to remove pieces that are too big for it to swallow whole. Rolling in the same direction reduces your chances of losing a limb. And that is why she is only turn up badly but not dead. She would know to do this since she knows a lot about crocodiles.
She also could've done this as well. "Try to poke the soft part of its throat. Although crocodiles can hold their breath underwater for up to an hour, they cannot swallow underwater, so you may be able to use this to your advantage."
Also, "If the crocodile has begun its death roll, playing dead is most likely not an option. However, if all else has failed and you have the opportunity to do so, play dead. Crocodiles enjoy live meals, so they may release if they believe you are dead."
As for the whole "Why did the dog die instead? T___T" Simple. ANYONE who knows anything about crocodiles knows that given the choice, a crocodile would eat a dog first instead of a human. Animals kill and eat animals alot so it's not uncommon that a croc would do the same.
As someone else said on a board. "This was a good movie until the hero found the heroine alive. Nobody else survived an attack, why did she?" Really? NOONE survived crocodile attacks? Are you just plain stupid or something? People DO survive crocodile attacks. Probably the same ammount of people survive croc attacks as they do shark ones. Those little news clippings on the wall in the movie. All but the one about the main character were TRUE clippings, and if you look online you would see that people DO survive crocodile attacks.
Now the guy killing the croc at the end, I don't know what's so unbelievable about that. I mean had he not had that stick or that rock behind him both of them would've died and the croc would still be out there. The man used it like some would use when defending against an animal, and when the croc's jaws were around the rock the man shoved the stick (log thingy) into the creatures brain. I don't know about you but I've heard things like that happening.
As for the woman surviving, she BARELY survived. Hell we don't even know if she survived at the hospital, the last clipping just says that the man killed the croc and was a hero. Plus had he not gotten to the cave, she would've bled out or got eaten, so her surviving was all on luck. Luck that her dog found her, luck that the dog found the man. Luck that the man managed to kill the croc and find them both the med chopper.
Sorry if it seems I'm ranting but I just think that these things needed to be said, since not to many know about crocodiles or attacks or movies from fiction. lol ^^;
