Where have I seen this ending befor?

It's been bugging me for a week now, but the I feel as if i have seen this exact same ending in a monster flick befor, possible even a simular crocodilian feature. The whole narrative of finding the burrow where a character previously thought dead is infact alive and is rescued.

Could people throw some movies out there that replicates this narrative ending, to narrow it down I think it may well have been a crocodile movie aswell. Name as many as you can think of with the whole burrow thing, I need to pinpoint this.

Maybe it reminded you of Aliens? When Ripley retrieves Newt from the queen's lair?

I think this is actually part of crocodile mythology, like a non-urban legend.

You might be thinking of the Korean horror 'Host' in which the creature does indeed drag its prey underwater then store it (alive or dead) for later. A character is found alive and eventually rescued. An excellent film, with some blackly comic moments.

she is found alive and then dies.
