ok so the movie was made in 2007 according to imdb dealia dracott was born in 1938 and died in like november of 1981 well if it was 2007 jane would be like 26 right? but nancy kept saying a baby born 24 years ago???? im so confused here!!!
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ "A Touch Of Destiny"
did they ever say the actual year in the movie? I don't think so, so no reason to think it was actually 2007 just because it was made that year. So do the math...
Draycott (born 20 July 1938) disappeared for five months in 1981. During those five months she gave birth to her daughter on July 18th. Shortly after Draycott returned to Hollywood, she was found dead on 29 November 1981.
Nancy said that was 25 years ago, so the film is set during the 2006-2007 school year, making Jane 25 years old.
That makes sense. Thanks for the clarification.
*[Minor correction: Dehlia's daughter was born on July 28, 1981, according to Dehlia's will as Nancy read it walking away from the store after discovering it. Just a minor thing... But that's why its called TRIVIA, right? :)]
oh, i just posted a separate thread about this, and then found this one :L i suppose that makes sense then.. im just shocked i noticed it, i never notice errors in films :L
Good job on the dates. I only saw part of this movie last night, but saw the IMDb scene. Very cool. THEN I noticed the dates for Draycott are the same as the birth and death dates as NATALIE WOOD. Plus, in some of the old movie magazines Nancy was going through, they have Natalie in them also. Nice connection.
That's the least of what confused me. She's been dead all these years and her personal belongings are still in the house? All her very intimate letters, books, etc., in the attic. And the projectors with all her old films. And her caretaker/servant still works there?
And the house, somehow, is available for occasional short-term rentals? Does the servant come included with the lease?
Who is collecting the rental income? And wouldn't they clear the place out and fix it up a little to maximize the rent potential?
