Really love this movie

Rewatched it recently & it honestly might be my second favorite origin movie in the MCU. After the first Iron Man

I honestly forgot that this isn't like the usual Superhero movies, it's basically a heist movie set in a Superhero world. Which I absolutely loved

The jokes are mostly solid & the action is pretty good. The characters are likable. I especially love the relationship between Scott & his daughter.

The weak thing about the movie for me was the Villain. He's really underdeveloped & the writing for the character was pretty subpar

Hi! Completely agree with all you said; including the Villain. Villains are always the weak part in any superhero film unless you have someone insanely iconic like a Joker or Loki. But this movie had a lot going for it. I loved all the characters.

One of my favorite moments in the movie is actually after Hank and Hope had their fight and she and Scott are in the car and he reminds her that he was chosen for the mission over her because he was disposable and she wasn't. There was none of the cliché 'you used me!' kind of plot. Scott knew exactly why he was there and did it anyway and I think actually got thru to Hope; it was a really touching moment for me.

I also loved the Luis and gang comedy moments and the Falcon cameos.

Speaking of cliches & overused tropes, I love that the daughter isn't portrayed as your usual, "I'm gonna hate my dad till he saves me from the villain at the end" kinda thing. She's not written as "Angsty" or "moody" towards her dad.

She genuinely loves her dad, even with all his faults. Their relationship is honestly one of my favorite things in the entire MCU.

Are you talking about Hope or Scott's Daughter? I was thinking Hope and was going to disagree a bit as I thought she was a little on the annoying side but re-reading it I am thinking you could have also meant Scott's daughter who is friggin cute as a button with her quirkiness and yea, I love that she always stuck with her dad. Her reaction to his birthday gift is hysterical.

I meant Scott & Cassie. Sorry for not specifying. 😄

Love their relationship & dynamic

It's a middle-tier Marvel movie for me. But since it's the MCU, that means it's still like a 7/10 and I thought it was sincerely going to suck ass. But I think it's one of their funnier installments.
