After the fight and Ant-man returns to Hank's house, they don't know that he has the tech they were after.
Now, what about all the ants with cameras? Or did they disappear once the fightt started? (But the flying and stuck around...)
Thoughts?
Two possibilities:
1. Hank was so pissed off by Scott’s actions that he stopped monitoring Scott once Scott flew away from Avengers Facility. After this he and Hope probably went upstairs leaving Scott with no opportunity to show them what he had.
2. When Scott flew into the storage bay to retrieve Hank’s “Signal Decoy”, Hank lost visual with Scott. (However the ants were still there as they were capturing the outside of the storage area.) But as Scott was in the storage bay, he obviously managed to get the tech. He then likely put it somewhere in his suit and kept it hidden until he arrived at Hank’s place. The ants’ cameras of course never picked up what Scott was up to inside.
I believe the second one is the likeliest and it seems clear to me that Scott intended to surprise Hank & Hope after they thought he had botched the mission.
