He did hear a bit of Britney...his subconcious obviously like her brand of fun, teen pop.

He did hear a bit of Britney once. In episode 7 of season 1, when he and Gene go out to eat at a restaurant and Sam sees a vision of a 2006 street reflected in the restaurant's front window, "Toxic" by Spears is heard.

She also appears in Sam's nightmarish hallucination when he's dosed with LSD, so I wouldn't assume Sam was a fan.
