How has the rating dropped so low?

I consider this to be one of the greatest television shows ever made, full of symbolism and subtle mastery, and was quite pleased to see it had a 9.0 rating. However, upon returning to this board, it has an 8.4?

What's going on?! There are shows such as 'Supernatural', 'The Big Bang Theory' etc that are considered better than this? Why has public opinion of it declined?

One of the conspiracy theories floated around is that people who saw the US remake and hated it, came on to vote it down, and not knowing about the original, marked this one down by mistake.

Make of that what you will...I'm not going to comment on if that is even slightly believable or not.

I saw the American version first, and actually preferred it, even though I am British. the overall plot was very similar to Jacob's Ladder.

Personally, I felt that the episodes were too long. I mean, it is a good show, but the episodes dragged on too long. 40-50 minutes would have been perfect.

What in gods name are you blathering on about?

You literally just insulted yourself. Was that really too complicated for you to comprehend? Isn't your cerebral capacity strong enough for you to fathom the concept of a person believing an episode is too long?

Gene Hunt should teach them a lesson, make them pay the price for giving the show a 1 or a 2 or even a 3.

A lot of good shows drop over time.

It hurts to see Supernatural put on the same level as The Big Bang Theory.

I believe its current rating is fair.
