Are critics pulling back their negative reviews?

I'm not sure but I remember the reactions to the Tree of Life being pretty mixed when it came out, now it has an 85 metacritic score with only 1 negative review and 2 mixed (2 of those 3 link to pages that can no longer be found btw). Does anyone know what the metascore was when it came out? And does it happen more often that critics pull back their reviews in hindsight realizing they totally missed the mark? I wonder then what score Knight of Cups will have in a couple of years.
