I just caught the film for the first time yesterday and coincidentally, wasn't my cup of tea either.
Don't think it was a bad film. In fact, I admire a different approach to story telling. That same material in the hands of so many other directors would have been a cheesy Lifetime feature.
Same goes with any film I guess, you connect with it or you don't. Easy for me to see why some people connected with this one, easy for me to see why others didn't. I think I got what Terry M. was going for, but wasn't feeling it.
Great visuals though and a unique way to tell a story. I'll give him props for that.
Has David not gotten over his professional jealousy of Fisk/Malick?
I have no idea if Lynch is jealous or not (do you?), but he has no reason to be jealous.
