how can anyone call this movie rubbish? its not great but its entertaining/

I think the worst in show winner goes to 'The haunted dog'. Although it was virtually unwatchable the saddest part is that it was not really that much weaker than several of the other tales. This film has to qualify as a disaster.

My biggest problem with the film was the terrible level of performances. I think it was a enormous mistake to try to do a film with this many characters when they clearly did not have enough actors who were capable of delivering the dialogue (which was not that great to begin with).

Although this film had a low budget that was really an issue. These sort of films can be done with little money and still be effective. One of my favourite anthology films was the zero budget 'Deadtime stories'. Sure, budget can limit the type of actors that can be hired or quality of FX but it should not limit the amount of care that gets put into the screenplay. Aside from clunky lines that seemed to drag the story along other problems include stories that run on too long (and are predictable) such as the opener and others that simply go nowhere which was one of the problems of the maligned 'haunted dog'. I read in a different post that you compared this to tales from the crypt and, although, they do have a similar format the quality of execution is totally different. 'Crypt' has much better writing and stronger performances.

This movie simply did not work for me. I am glad that you liked it but it just seemed to represent too far of a drop in quality to be really considered part of the Creepshow series. Perhaps if they had sent it out as an original film with a different name it would have been viewed with lower expectations and the reaction would be less hostile but it is pointless to think about that because they made the choice to both benefit by selling it under the Creepshow title and suffer by risking comparison to the other films.

i *beep* hating them all. before i saw this movie i remembered saying that alice would be the best and it sucked.. and the sad thing is is that this movie would havev vdone better if all the stories had better endings. alice- the ending was lame.. a rabbit?? wtf.. the vampire prostitute thing.. i was expecting a fight out between the two but it just kinda was blah.. the only thing funny in this movie was why you always see black ppl walking down the streets with boomboxes by them. becuz the boomboxes are talking to them! hahah.. that was the only thing funny about this movie. and no im not racist.. its just facts
