I want to be a filmmaker and I'm looking into some good film schools.Until then,I want to make short movies with friends and such.I already have a few ideas, and one is Creepshow 4,a fan video if you will.I'm trying to think of soem story ideas, but with the fans and how badly this failed,I don't know if I should do it or not. This would be very low budget anyways and would probably only stay on Youtube or some site like that.I don't expect to go too far with it.
So,I'm asking you guys if I should do it or not even bother.Seeing as how I bet we have more creativity than the writers and such from this eyebleeder.

Well, its really your decision anyways, I mean, if you want to go ahead with it, make some actual plots that make sense instead of twisted stupid plots like Creepshow 3, you should go right ahead with your short film ideas! I encourage it!
I mean, if you had $1000, you can make a better Creepshow 3.
And, if there was to be an actual filmed sequel, from, actual producers and directs (not Dudelson or whatever their names are), I wouldn't know what to include in the stories. :)
I mean, you could always make a short film based off another film, perhaps the first Creepshow for example, that was really good!
Thanks.I'm trying to put some money in the bank for my ideas,a car and try to get somewhere for college. And if anything,if it sucks,it's be a random parody. It's weird how it took me two summers just to get two ideas for short films. What's a bit hard is getting good ideas, without having it be a rehash of some other movie. And I have ideas that are way out of my price range, unless I get good editign systems.

Yeah, its a shame how money always puts down your ideas and stuff. I mean, if you shot a movie (Parody of Creepshow 3 would be lawl) entirely on Green Screen, you can edit your own background in there and stuff, but, money also comes into the setup, needing a HD type camera, and patience all come into mind. What is your price range by the way? And how long would your short film go for? _____________________________________________________________ www.sega32x.deviantart.com
What might be a good idea is coming up with your own horror anthlogy concept, instead of doing a "Creepshow". Fans of the original series are likely to dismiss it quicker if they are using those films as a comparison. If you attach your low-budget project to an already established one, you may turn viewers off with unrealistic expectations. Either way, good luck to you.
