i agree like halloween 3 season of the witch, people have problems accepting that as a halloween movie, as people are havin trouble accepting creepshow 3 as a creepshow movie same senario!
How the hell could you put Halloween III in the same sh!t wagon as Creepshow III? They are very different in terms of what your speaking of:
"Halloween III: Season of the Witch" was made by most of the filmmakers from Halloween and Halloween II. They're intent was to give the series a fresh start, Michael Myers was killed in Halloween II so the plan to to delever a franchice of halloween-themed anthology stories since the series is intitled "Halloween". Watch the movie and you can tell, unlike Creepshow III, that there was actual effort put into it's making.
"Creepshow III" is not a Creepshow, it's an official/unofficial piece of crap ment to cash in in fans of the previous two. George Romero and Stephen King made "Creepshow" as a tribute to bad EC horror comics (Tales from the Crypt, Vault of Horror, etc.); they wrote stories themselves to match what the comics were all about the the result was great. Creepshow 2 was really good if a tad flawed but the effects and music were great for i's budget and it retained everything that was good about Creepshow 1. Now Creepshow III, these pricks don't even know that the series is about; it is nothing like 1 & 2. No mood of any of the other movies is present. They didn't even try. How they have rights to Day of the Dead and Creepshow names I have no idea, espesially since Day of the Dead was the third part of a series to begin with.
Halloween III is a Halloween movie because it is made by the same people, takes place around halloween, and contains a lot of the mood of the other two (there are a lot more reasons too). Creepshow III is NOT part of the series because it was made by retards who don't care about the name at all, didn't even remotely make it simmilar to the first two at all, and they don't even have a real studio to make it. Now that may sound like me just not wanting it to be included but tell me this: is Day of the Dead 2 part of the "Living Dead" series? No. You know why, and Creepshow 3 is in the same boat. How they got HBO of all people to distribute this is beyond me.
its exactly what the "producer" hacks are BANKING on...making money off the title alone...kind of like Peter Venkman's idea for the Ghostbusters franchise.

The only difference if it were NOT named Creepshow.. is that no one would bother to see it. It was just an awful movie, no matter what the name was. Hell, it wasn't even one of those movies that was so bad it was funny.. it was just.. bad.
Yes, if I didn’t read the title before watching… I probably would have enjoyed the movie a lot more. I think it could have been a great fan loosely film based on the Creepshow series. The fiction town this movie takes place in is called “Creepyville.” That would have been the perfect name for it in my opinion.
