Sounds awful

Why is it that so many aspiring directors in Hollywood can't get a shot, and yet a horrible director gets project after project? Ruining the Earthsea movie should have been the end for Robert Lieberman, but here he is again. And taking on the end of the world no less ... ugh. Expect cliches and badly-directed acting galore.

You can't possibly make an opinion on something you haven't seen! Not only that but all the actors are pretty damn good, the majority are in well respected tv dramas which have pulled in good reviews as well as cash. Not only that but our royal highness Queen Daryl Hannah is in it, and if you had seen her recent role in Kill Bill 1 and 2 along with her other countless acting triumphs, you wouldn't be so swift to badmouth a show that has the acting potential and budget to be good! I short,SHUT UP it may be good!

You CAN make an opinion on something you haven't seen, it doesnt take THAT much insight or genius.

Think about American Pie.. or Not Another Teen Movie - does one REALLY need to endure the torment and waste of 2 hours of their existence to be able to credibly say said films are complete and utter rubbish?

Of course not, in some cases you know VERY WELL from the promotion and type of film what it is going to be like, my mind is drawn to "Date movie" which has just recently come out over here. I often carry on about movies i've never seen, my friends disagree - they go see it, and im always right. Because Hollywood churns out one pile of garbage after another, it's in fact quite easy to comment on an unseen film these days, you know if a film looks good or bad, and scarcely is anything surprising these days.

As for this end of the world thing, i dunno, dont really care - just wanted to state my opinion on this matter. :).

Well now. bigblackbiz was right. I don't feel the need to watch the second half even. This film is on a par with Scooby Doo Pirates Ahoy.
Anybody got a scooby snack?

Check their web site and read it for yourself. Insects from the Moon (shades of "The First Men ONn The Moon") invade California (nothing new there) and Daryl Hannah is their Queen Bee.

It's bug stomping time!

I saw a preview for it the other night. If I hadn't seen the title at the end I wouldn't have known it was sci-fi! It's one of those things set on a contemporary Earth (ie. filmed in Canada on a very small budget) and we haven't been shown ANY special effects (why do you think we watch sci-fi TV miniseries? The actors? The scripting? Ha ha, no. The SFX of course!).

It looks like rubbish. From the preview, it looks like rubbish.
