why uncredited?

i noticed that Owen Wilson wasnt in the credits at the end of this movie
and he's marked as uncredited here
i was wondering if anyone knows why that is?
its a pretty main part!

He was only meant to be a small part, like one scene. His preformance was popular with the screening audiance and so they expanded it with him still being written as uncredited.
