I am surprised to see there was any hate for it at all.

I love it too! It is such fun, and pretty educational among all of
the fantasy stuff within the film.

My 4 year old grandson is totally obsessed and fascinated with this movie!
He likes naming all of the animals, and he especially loves it when they stampede down the stairs,
and he trys to re-enact or mimic what the actors are doin onscreen.

He has even memorized, and humms the opening music credits,
which really amazes me, as it is seems to be a classical piece!

He even recognizes the setting as the museum here in Los Angeles
where we take him at least every other week in the summer!

If he catches a glimpse of this movie on our big 52" while I'm channel
surfing; I can forget about trying to watch anything else...
we have to watch NATM! LOL!!

I think this movie, unlike many similar ones nowadays, managed to convey and actual sense of fun and wonder; too often others try and go horribly flat (see Chocolate Factory, Charlie and the).

Supermodels...spoiled stupid little stick figures mit poofy lips who sink only about zemselves.

Yep, I love this movie too. I was so surprised to see all the racist crap in this IMDB board. Just freaking unbelievable......

I finally caught this movie on FX and I liked it!

I love it too.

I would have loved it more had more been made of the Larry / Rebecca relationship. I thought he was actually keen on her. But nothing came of that.

Unless there are some cut scenes around this.

Oh and Carla Gugino looked great.
