Full of historical mistakes, unbelievable non sense and boring as *beep*... not even for kids!

shareAgreed! On a level with the worst of the old Abbott and Costello movies from the 40s, with the addition of modern-day CGI. A total waste of time, and they're about to "milk this cow" again with a sequel.

I liked it too, bring on the sequel.
Cant get over people that call it crap, why come to the film and then run it down, go on a film you like, people who like it dont want to hear you telling us you hate it.
Agreed! I cant wait to show it to my kid. Its a fun hollywood movie.
This isnt some deep thoughtful, analyze the movie or it will change your life movie.
to those that hated it, try and enjoy life a bit before you die.
Its a fun movie, but who's idea was it to cast both Ricky Gervais and Steve Coogan -- the most unfunny pair of Brits you'll ever come across?
Although they don't have a lot of screen time, they totally ruined it for me :-(
For the record, yes I am British...
Anyone that refers to Ricky Gervais as "unfunny" must be dead inside. His character was hilarious, even in this small part. Secondly, if you think this movie is boring, you clearly have a pretty miserable life with that stick up your arse. Thomas Lennon and Robert Ben Garant (aka Dangle and Junior from Reno 911) are totally hilarious as writers and actors. This is a movie I can watch over and over and still laugh. It's an all star cast, great script, family friendly, and mildly educational. What more do you want from Hollywood? Anyone that claims Dick Van Dyke is "boring" in this movie is just saying it to get attention. You know this movie is great. Enjoy it :)
shareI was surprised how poor it was, it gets so much hype and the sequel just coming out.
It was OK until Stiller did the psychoanalysis on Genghis Khan, which was embarrassing and then it just went downhill from there.
Despite the number of star names in it there is was nothing for them to work with. I won't be killing myself to see the second one and I certainly wouldn't be paying.
I found it boring and stupid - but I only managed to watch about 30 minutes of it before deleting it. Maybe it got better after I gave up watching it. Will definately not waste time watching the next one.
shareWe have to take into account that it's a comedy, aimed primary at the PG audienceSource:Movie Reviews - Night at the Museumhttp://moviereviews.noskram.com/2009/09/movie-reviews-for-night-at-the -museum
