Soldiers of civil war.. white face? help?

Who were those soldiers of the civil war with white faces??

Actors perhaps?

reply

noo, man. But why did they have their faces covered in white?
Were they some kind of special unit?

I think, as created by the museum, it was easier to place the white cotton over their faces than to actually create a real face..and cheaper too.

They were just really ugly.

You can see when they are having their lil fight that they are made out of some sort of cloth, not wax. It would've been hard to handstitch on a face for every doll.

reply

Think of it this way, the museum was exhibiting the clothing and weapons, tehy were just dummys or maniquins

reply

Haha! (special forces) Comedy genius..... They were manniquins displaying clothes!

I think it's amusing how you're the first one actually (correctly) suggesting it to be that way. :P

I like work. It fascinates me. I sit and look at it for hours.

reply

It is just their clothes being displayed. It is the mannequins that are just cloth.

I don't think we should read too much into that, those characters were pretty hilarious thoughSource:Movie Reviews - Night at the Museumhttp://moviereviews.noskram.com/2009/09/movie-reviews-for-night-at-the -museum

The faces probably weren't important, their uniform and weapons were the important part in the display.

I'm waiting for the OP to post another thread asking if there are still tribes of tiny cowboys and Romans in nature...

Opinions are just onions with pi in them.
