Anyone here a fan of this movie and NOT have kids in their life?

No cousins you talk to monthly, no kids, no nieces/nephews, no friends' kids, no neighbors under age 13, no kids in your job, etc.

And you're in your late(ish) 20's-early 40's.

Thanks if you respond!

(thank you oregon and maggmi!)

Guilty on all counts. Saw it when it came out and just bought a used DVD copy for $2.00

I went to see it by myself in the cinema when it first came out and enjoyed it so much, I bought a DVD as a thank you gift for a dear friend after he took me on a museum tour in London!

Got ya beat! I am in my early 50s with no kids in the household.
This is great stuff in 4K!!
Brings out the kid in me (like The Lego Movie). Love it!

Yep to all, and I'm in my mid thirties. Bought movies 1 and 2 on itunes as a pack. Hadn't caught either one til last week.

Making a shambles of IMDB, one post at a time.

I do have kids, but I know that I would have loved them anyway. I'm really not a Stiller fan. The reason I love them is that I grew up with the two museums showcased. From first to sixth grade, we lived in a suburb of NYC, and the Museum of Natural History was a favorite day in Manhattan. Then we moved to DC and with all of those free museums, the Smithsonian was a magnet. I am looking forward to the third, but am sorry I've never been to the British Museum....

I have no children nor does my fiance. We are over 30. We love this movie.

It's definitely one of my favourite film franchises, yes. But I admit my love for these movies was a gradual thing. I thought it was just OK at first; 7/8 years on I'm obsessed. I think I just realised that it would've been something I would've watched as a kid, so there's almost a nostalgic element to it. I do slightly regret not seeing it at the cinema, though I did try to rectify that mistake with going to see Part 3 (my favourite one, for sure!)

I'm all of the above. I first saw it on HBO a couple of months ago and now, I keep Parts 1 and 3 in my On Demand cue (for some reason, part 2 is not available).

I don't think of it as a kid's movie. It's just a silly movie about a silly premise. But, unlike many similar movies, it's neither condescending nor affected. With the pop culture references, double entendres and workplace humor, I think 70-80% of the jokes target the millen-X generation (born in the 70's and 80's) and would (or should) be lost on kids.

It's kind of like the "Princess Bride." It was one of my favorites when I saw it as a kid, but there was a bunch of stuff that I didn't get until after I became an adult.
