When Steve Coogan and Owen wilson were driving that RC car.

RC cars don't have fully functioning and linked throttle, brake & steering in the cab!

Though it's possible to rig a linkage to the steering and drive servos of an RC vehicle to accommodate a miniturized human, the liklihood of it coming stock on a store bought toy is negligible, so, yeah....TOTALLY unrealistic...but that T-rex...

Should we really be talking about realism in a movie that has wax figures and dinosaur bones coming to life.

Problem solved .........

The tablet turned the RC toy car into a miniature real car.

Or... maybe Jed and Octavius only think they're driving the car but someone is around using the remote. 

That would work if the person could see around corners or through walls when the car goes places beyond normal vision....

I like to think the tablet and its magic made the car real.

Ugh... I hate this reply...

Just because a story has fantastic elements doesn't mean it doesn't need consistent internal logic. Suspension of disbelief has to be earned. We can buy things like the museum collections coming to life because this is setup and explained. But if at the end of the movie suddenly Ben Stiller started flying around like Superman... we probably could not suspend our disbelief, despite the rest of the movie being not "completely realistic."

Well obviously it's unrealistic, it's a movie about statues coming to life!
