shareIt was where they could find a railroad that would let them film it. Railroads are in business to ship goods, not to allow film crews to use their property and equipment. If the railroad was too busy to be interrupted by filming, the wouldn't allow it to be filmed there. Besides, after living my life in Ohio, the hills of Pennsylvania are much more scenic than cornfields in northwest Ohio where the real runaway occurred.
