I made my husband leave the room for this...

He works for the railroad and it was like watching a war movie with my Viet Nam vet father. "That's not what they would use." "That'll never work because blah blah blah" It's a FREAKING MOVIE. If I wanted facts I'd ask you. GAH

lol some people cannot help themselves when it comes to films about their own jobs. they need to relax your right its just a movie not a docomentary they always get things wrong. some times on purpose to either move the plot along or to make it more exciting if i wanted facts and the truth to watch ill watch a doco.

You have a responsibility…to mine the diamonds we make into fairy dust."

Why? Your husband should definitely see this movie, so that if a similar situation arises he would have a better idea how to deal with it.

He can watch any time - I bought it - just not when I'm in the room because I don't want to hear it! LOL

Send him down to his man cave to watch it

No T in his man cave - he doesn't even get internet out there (it's in the garage by his choosing)

Try to ask him what happened in 2001 with CSX 8888 then. It's basically the same thing, just in real life.

He told our youngest son about it when he (our son) was reenacting Unstoppable with his toy trains.

You made your husband miss one hell of a great movie. Audiences aren't interested in every detail of stopping a runaway train...we are not engineers or mechanics...just people munching on popcorn and thinking "Damn, I would DEFINITELY not want to be on that train!"

reply

He's free to watch it anytime he wants to - just not when I'm in the room so I don't have to hear him tear it apart.
