Go see this movie! **** (Four Stars!)

I was fortunate enough to see a preview of this movie--it is terrific! It is a smart & funny film (the kind you can take your kids to, but you will enjoy it (and should go see it) yourself. The acting, direction, and script are all first-rate! And there's the dog, who is dynamite. This is the kind of movie Hollywood should start making again! Kudos to all involved!

I saw the same private screening of "Firehouse Dog". All the armchair naysayers on this thread are going to eat their words when all their friends tell them to go see it. This movie is great, an extremely well-done family film that kids and adults will love. It's smart and believable with a major plot twist. Excellent movie soundtrack as well!

The dog dies.

The dog doesn't die, but the movie itself is DOA. A major piece of plop.

I saw it at a test screening. Honestly, it's great. Really hilarious, and there are some very unexpected plot twists... I won't spoil anything for you. I'm taking my friends to see it tomorrow when it's out.

FANATASTIC MOVIE for young and old alike!! A great drive-in movie for this summer! The grandkids loved it and so did I. We left the theater with a great feeling and kept it going all night. I found the dog was the funniest character, but, there was a nice storyline behind him. A few unbelievable events happen with the firefighters but it's how the plot moves along. There were a couple of really short sappy areas with dad and kid but the kids loved it! Between entrance fee and treats my pockets were $40.00 lighter. Definitely a drive-in movie!!

I work at a theater and had to watch it Tuesday night because the company wasn't sure if the digital film worked. The film was long, boring, unfunny (even in a kiddy way) and overall I didn't think the dog was all that cute. Plus add in the three or four poorly made CGI stunts and you've got a glorifed, highly unnessecary picture about a boy, his dog and his qausi-alcholic, firefighter father as they try to balance gimmicks and a ridiculously lame-brained plot.

My kids and I really enjoyed this movie - it's much more than the trailers make it out to be. Mix of comedy and drama. It was much better than I thought it would be. For a family film, you can't go wrong picking this one. (Especially over the other kids movies out there right now.)

I took my seven year daughter and husband, and both loved it. It doesn't deserve the poor ratings and bad reviews. It's a cute family movie.
