sharewell in the movie it looks like shane has a crush on her and shane's dad sort of looks like he likes the girl's mom. but the girl's mom is from green point, a rival firestation.

That part of the movie was never fully developed, since it was not the most important element of the story. However, you have to just assume that they have some sort of "thing" for each other, but like "yellow_girl229" said, their parents are rivals from two different fire stations, so they don't really expose many of those feelings.
