LIGHTEN UP PEOPLE!!!

WOW, that's all I can say. 4.7? Did you people see anything more than the opening credits and just assume it was another dumb family film? I think all of you Charles Frohman's need to take J.M. Barrie's direction and bring a couple kids in the living room with you when you watch this movie. Maybe then you can understand the point of this film instead of setting back disecting every moment of the film for believabilty like a bunch of wannabe critics trying to seem smart.

Amen! You can't go into this film expecting Godfather, it's a family movie and should be rated according. I give it 6/10, as my two boys 3 and 2 were in love with this movie and I was able to stay interested.

I agree. I gave it a 10 only to counter to dumb people who gave it such a low score. It didn't deserve a 10, but it doesn't deserve a 4.7 either.

one of the BEST all around that I've seen in quite a while. (though some need verbal profanity to rate a movie acceptable!) give me a break!

I enjoyed this movie very, very much, and I was surprised to find that so many people hated it. Granted, they could have done without some of the potty jokes, but if you're going to make that argument, most of today's family/children's movies would be guilty of using at least some crude humor. The way these movies are made today, scenes like that are becoming more and more common, so kids will laugh and remain attentive.

I thought that "Firehouse Dog" told a good story, and Josh Hutcherson is such a good young actor, you can't help but love him. The chemistry between him and Bruce Greenwood was nice, and their father/son relationship was powerful. I'm not going to say it was a 5-star Oscar contendor, but as a fun, lighthearted family flick that you can enjoy with the kids, there is nothing wrong with it.

Just watched Firehouse Dog for the first time.
In fact I found it to be really good would give this a 7 out of 10.
Will get this one to keep...
