It's as if they want us to understand all the reasoning behind why Orel's parents are just so messed up. Clay making it so important that he and Orel go hunting, his drinking and how Bloberta started it, Bloberta's reasons for even wanting Clay in the first place...
Lord, I loved it how it "must have been all that praying" that let Clay actually make it to birth.
