I'm the son of a minister, and a fan of Moral Orel, even though I may be writing my own ticket to hell for it. I was wondering if there are any other PK's (Pastors' kids) that find this show funny. I'd like to know I'm not alone. I about peed my pants laughing at the end of the episode "Repression" where Principal Fakey goes nuts, walks home through the halls of the school and through the streets of Moralton, with his pants around his ankles. Even if you're not other PK's it'd be cool to discuss funny moments during the show.
I'm not a PK, but I am a christian that still finds the show brilliant.
You have to watch the show and understand it's not bashing the faith itself, it's bashing those who live their "holy" ways in the eyes of others but deep down are twisted and use the Bible only when it suits them.
Lucy: Daughter of the Devil is another great show if you can handle it showing a Christ-like figure who's a total jackass at times.
"If you should need me, tap this staff three times on a wall." "Magic?" "No, it's just loud."
Thanks. I know it's only making fun of the hypocritical bible-beaters. I've never been able to see Lucy Daughter of The Devil yet. It's on arround the time I'm asleep, and I haven't been able to record it on my DVR yet. Do you have a favorite moment on M.O. you'd like to share though?
Hmm... I got a kick out of Putty's freaking out when he realized they were all singing about how much they hated Christ, and then when Orel did his own little sermon in Be Fruitful and Multiply, and now that I've seen it definitely all of Closeface.
I suppose I'm cheering on Orel, Putty, and Stephanie

Rev. Putty is hilarious. Closeface was a funny episode. I don't remember the name of the episode, but it involved Ms. Censordall protesting eggs because they come from a chicken's vagina. She even had Orel with a picket sign chanting: "Ban all the eggs that come from naughty places"
Being a PK, I've met my fair share of Censordalls. She's the one charecter that makes me laugh nervously and think on bad and funny memories. One church my dad, pastored at, my family couldn't go trick or treating on haloween because a woman from the church staunchly made it a tradition to have a haleluja party and of course, the minister, and his children are expected to show. A haleluja party is about as fun as it sounds. This woman made kids go home who were in costumes of any kind that night. The games were all bible themed, we got a lecture on how, Halloween is the Devil's Night, and something about Muslims, I stopped paying attention because I was super pissed about not being able to trick or treat. (at 7 years old, that sucks hardcore) Basic message is that if given the choice of a Haleluja party, or Chinese water torture, go with option number 2. Trust me.
That lady looked nothing like Ms. Censordall, but acted almost like her in every way. And she was also against children believing in Santa, watching cartoons that had nothing to do with Jesus, or having any real childhood at all. I feel sorry for her kids.
You should go Methodist. We're pretty liberal about things like that. I still remember one Halloween I dressed up right at the church and went with some other youth members around the BIG neighborhood right behind the church. We even did a yearly pumpkin patch.
And of all things to have an issue with, Santa, should never be one of them. If you ever come across a person like that again you point out to them the creation of Santa comes from the real Christian Saint Nicholas.

i'm a pastor's granddaughter, and i find this *beep* hilarious. especially because i went to a catholic school growing up (mom's insistence) and they constantly cut up on catholics.
