Gay Clay?

So I know the show toys a lot with the notion that Clay may have feelings for Stopframe, but do they ever actually come clean and throw it out in the open? I thoug tmaybe Clay just flirted with him because Clay is always drunk and a complete clueless idiot. The last episode he gave that speech to Orel, which was obviously aimed at Stopframe.....but still.

He's a broken man. He'll go to anyone who gives him approval and comfort, man or woman.

Not sure about that it's a good question....I mean he didn't really talk to anyone but him and the fact that his wife made him the drunk he is today sooooo I don't think he ever got the chance to figure out if he was gay or not.

Now that I think of it, When Bloberta asked Clay if he ever wanted to get married to someone, he acted like it was completely made up in his mind that he never would... the ONLY reason that Clay and Bloberta got married was because Clay didn't want to feel hurt and was drunk, not out of Love. Which leaves the door open to him legitimately having feelings for Stopframe and thus being gay.

I always thought the idea of them flirting was unnecessary since Clay was straight but if his marriage is a sham then it's completely plausible. hmmm

But I'm wondering if Stopframe is fully gay or bisexual. Wasn't it revealed that he was really Shapey's father?

I think the Clay was gay,and not only did he and Stopframe flirt, but I believe they really, truly cared for each other, maybe they were even in love. Certainly the coach had more true feelings for Clay than Bloberta did.
Moralton was a stereotypical, conservative Midwestern town where everyone was expected to fulfil their traditional roles.
I think part of the point of the show was that strict adherence to religion, but also the expectations of others, can bring about deep unhappiness when people did what they thought they were supposed to do , rather than stay true to themselves.
Bloberta and Clay weren't just unhappily married, they were truly, unhappy with every facet of their lives and the Episode Alone showed nearly everyone in Moralton to feel that way. They were all sad and isolated. From themselves, from each other, from the G0d they were supposed to have so much faith in.

I think that sexually Clay is bi and has the strongest feelings that can be anything akin to 'love' towards Stopframe. I mean both men are prone to their vices such as when Orel was basically acting as a pimp and calling in hookers from the other town. Stopframe is basically an hedonist.

Who knows we might see something with the special.

~~Funny, I get the impression you think I'm giving you a choice.
