How I Hated This, Let Me Count the Ways

1. The first break-in. Laura is just STANDING there at the top of the stairs, watching her house get robbed. She didn't even look like she was frozen in fear. Just, la di da, let me stare at this burglar and do nothing when he can totally see me.

2. Then they finally move the dresser to block the door, and she thinks she sees the guys drive off, and she knows the police are coming. What a smart thing to do to move the dresser and leave the room where she and her daughter are safe, instead of just waiting for the police... I was hoping a burglar stuck around and knocked her off, instead of the dog.

3. The security code. The real estate agent knows it, the builders and movers probably did, and even Janis knew it. Hell, *I* knew it. 7899. Why didn't they change the code to something that only the FAMILY would know??? Not so smart, Laura.

4. I know gated communities aren't 100% safe from prowlers and home-invaders, but Mr. Kim (Him?) sure got into that community easily and even into her backyard to break in. I'd demand a new security team for the subdivision.

5. Laura gets a call from the police and he tells her to immediately lock her doors and don't go outside because her neighbor is psycho. Ten seconds later, WHILE STILL ON THE PHONE WITH THE COP, the doorbell rings and she decides to just open her door to see who it is. Not even saying "Who is it?". Laura was stupid.

6. Apparently tearing a gray cat into pieces turns it into an orange one. I'll have to check the science on that....

7. The principal gets an anonymous call that a girl soccer player is taking steroids. Yep, we must throw her off the team. The principal gets ANOTHER anonymous call that the soccer coach is having an affair with a player's mother, and he's like "Coach, how could you DO THIS to the school and our community!!" The principal is a fool. I was hoping Janis would knock him off.

8. And let's talk Janis. From the first second she seemed off. I've known many Janises in my life, and if you can't see the crazy like that INSTANTLY then you are a fool. It's like Laura couldn't just politely say "Thank you for the invite, but we literally just moved in, and are going to unpack. We'll see each other tomorrow or the next day". And then steer clear of her crazyiness.

I'd give this a 1/10 only because you can't go lower.
