Extraction Team Shoots Like the A-Team

And what was that guy thinking walking up to one of the hosts in "The Cradle" and letting her blow them both up?

I know they want certain things to happen, and the mercenaries / security team can't be allowed to prevent the plot from moving forward. Yet there are better ways to have that happen than having those guys act like dolts.

well to be fair that guy was kinda expecting sexual favor from her...

That was one of the dumbest things I have seen from this series so far this season. Trained commando getting the drop on the enemy & being swayed by her looks. "You're so pretty" Give me a break, he deserved to get blown up for being such a moron. Whole scene was dumb.

wat commando? hes more like a henchman

For that guy it was in-character to be cocky and probably suspectible to lust. We had a strong sense he was probably going to help foul-up the security team's mission.

The narrative has to highlight the intelligence and determination of the rebel Hosts so the overconfidence and bloodymindedness of the security team and willingness to blunder in and take risks is certainly one likely scenario. There is an analogue in colonialism where the controlling government assumes their moral superiority as well as their military might to rule, and their tactics are typically aggressive when attempting to suppress those who are defiantly oppose their rule. Delos is the colonialist and the Hosts are the subject population.
