Really delves into the secrets behind Westworld. Robert Ford sending Bernard Lowe into his secret underground chamber where he keeps copies of James Delos in robot form where they made copies of his brain albeit in a degraded state to keep the company going. Funny how a guy who doesn't give a shit about anyone else is finally losing it all including himself. Guess Ford sent him there to destroy all evidence or future copies of Delos.

I just realized young William is the same William in the guy with the black hat played by Ed Harris... Am I missing something here? Is there back an forth between the storyline? I thought they were 2 different entities. Is Logan also a robot as well?

Ugh! Just realized Bernard is the afterimage of Arnold Weber as well created by Ford...

It’s been obvious from about halfway through last season that they are the young and the mature Black William. And the copied Jim Delos does not start out with a deteriorated mind and nervous system. The copies’ systems degrade with time. Black William and the corporation have made repeated copies to learn how to prevent the deterioration.

It's been implied that there are 2 timelines with William, but I think this episode was the first one where they explicitly show it is the same guy. William said Logan killed himself, my guess is William pushed him out of the company because they had vastly different ideas on how to use the technology.
