How They Should Have Done the Sequel
I few years I saw a performance of "High School Musical" at an actual high school. They didn't have enough talented actors to fill all of the roles, and this resulted in a bit of miscasting. One of these faux pas resulted in the pairing of an actor with exceptional dancing skills as Ryan with a mediocre singer as Sharpay. The contrast was so obvious that until the final curtain fell I was certain that this was a plot element; that Sharpay, consciously or not, was sabotaging her brother's career. If Disney executives had seen this performance they might have decided to incorporate the idea into the sequels. It would have added a much-needed tension to those films.
