I am a huge fan of HSM and it was my life in 2006, but now that Glee is out, HSM doesn't compare: storywise and acting.

Yeah, if HSM is poop, Glee is full on dysentery.

HSM was geared to kids & tweens while Glee is geared to older teens & adults.

Without HSM there would be no Glee. Just keep that in mind.

Good point, I've been saying that Glee was in some ways a cash in on the success of HSM and maybe other musicals like Mamma Mia.
