5/10. Here's why / Esta es la razón:

HAIL, CAESAR! and BURN AFTER READING are farces written and directed by the Coen brothers with many characters where random events happen that don't really add up to much. The latter movie did that to deliver the same message from some of the dramas the Coens have made: The bad things people go through in life and/or life itself don't have a meaning or purpose. Not to mention that enough things happened by the end (mostly misunderstandings between the characters) that I still felt like I had seen a complete story. That's why it became one of my favorite movies. The former movie doesn't seem to have a point. Due to the fact that the subplots take so long to move forward and that the characters barely cross paths, very few relevant things happen. In fact, the subplots don't feel like they belong in the same movie. How ironic, since the main characters are mostly actors working in different movies (of different genres) at the same time. By the way, the filming scenes are the best. They truly feel like movies from the 1950s down to the last detail. There are some funny moments and the performances are decent. Speaking of, I must warn you that half of the actors credited in the poster have small roles. I haven't felt so deceived since I went to get a massage. They promised me a happy ending but, when I left, I still had back pains.

¡SALVE, CÉSAR! y QUÉMESE DESPUÉS DE LEERSE son comedias absurdas escritas y dirigidas por los hermanos Coen con muchos personajes en donde ocurren eventos al azar que no parecen tener una meta. La segunda hizo eso para transmitir el mismo mensaje de algunos de los dramas que los Coens han hecho: las cosas malas que la gente sufre en la vida y/o la vida misma no tienen un significado o propósito. Sin mencionar que suficientes cosas habían pasado para el final (más que nada malentendidos entre los personajes) que igual sentí que había visto una historia completa. Es por eso que se convirtió en una de mis películas favoritas. La primera no parece tener un punto. Debido al hecho de que las sub-tramas se demoran tanto en avanzar y de que los caminos de los personajes casi no se cruzan, muy pocas cosas relevantes pasan. De hecho, las sub-tramas no se sienten como que pertenecen a la misma película. Qué irónico, ya que los personajes principales son más que nada actores trabajando en distintas películas (de distintos géneros) al mismo tiempo. Por cierto, las escenas de filmación son las mejores. Realmente se sienten como películas de la década de 1950 hasta el más pequeño detalle. Hay algunos momentos chistosos y las actuaciones son decentes. Hablando de eso, debo advertirles que la mitad de los actores en el póster tienen papeles pequeños. No me he sentido tan engañado desde que fui a que me hicieran un masaje. Me prometieron un final feliz pero, cuando me fui, todavía me dolía la espalda.
