rant about On Demand

for people who have Stern On Demand,

doesn't it piss you off that the Best of the Week clips are mostly comprised of stuff we have already been shown? all they seem to do is clump together a bunch of their already-televised daily show clips. i'd rather they just upload 40 minutes of just the crew sitting around talking.

not to mention, the amount of stuff they make available is becoming annoying. they did a lot for when it was free in november, but since the holiday season began it seems like they're not really putting as much effort into it. i mean, i don't JUST want to watch the occasional famous person coming in or sal and richard displaying their private parts...i wanna see the day to day activities. also, they rarely show NEW beetlejuice clips...he's my favorite guy ever.

would it be unreasonable to expect them to upload a sizeable portion of the show from each day instead of 30-40 mins of the day? i think that'd be more fun to watch than just these stupid 'a day with richard christie family' or the other home-made videos that arent really part of the show.

i enjoy being able to watch anything at all, but for the price of a premium channel you'd think they'd supply you with more content...especially considering everything has already been recorded, all they have to do is upload it.

Agreed. Howard's crew really doesnt run things very well.

I used to love Beetle but every time he comes in now he starts crying and its a bit depressing. I still laugh, but then I feel guilty. :(

I know ive had it since october and they have been great with updates until now. Its been nearly a few weeks and they have only had one show updated on the ON Demand list. im gonna give it one more week and if there is no more updates, im gonna cancel it.

this week has been pretty decent for the daily show section of ondemand. each one has been over an hour, some of them actually just showing the crew conversing. ..which is definitely a step in the right direction for me.

also, i have heard that they are going through 15 hours of footage from bubba's wedding to make a special for that...perhaps that's why they have been lacking in the content area...although i'm really not that excited about watching people awkwardly address the camera for ~2 hours.

on that note, one thing that is one of the biggest beatings to watch, are the post-show interviews of the guests. will, or whoever does them, sucks so bad at that. all he does it ask the same questions howard asked, and then ask 'how did you feel when howard asked you that?' has any guest ever said a single thing that was note-worthy? it's such a waste of time for everyone involved. but thank god they are only 2 minutes or so.

Just a few days ago they updated the list finally, so theres a lot more now. So i am gonna keep it, they are really good ones too, especially the one with Bigfoot and his band, you should hear him sing lol.

I just noticed that they started showing two clips from all the new shows, instead of the previous one clip so they doubled the amount of the show they put on demand.

I had HSOD for over a year and just canceled it. It used to be really good but over past 6 months has really declined in content. Agree, the Best of Week section is useless. Obviously we are fans of the show if we are subscribing so likely we will watch the daily shows. Also the "In the Vault" section has so too many show duplications in the sub-categories. My favorite epi's are when staff is talking about their lives and their crew fights, ect. I also like seeing the celeb interviews, even the vintage ones. How great was that Julia Roberts one? How many times can you view a haggard-looking stripper ride the Sybian and Artie offer 10 grand to the girl of the month. Don't get me wrong, I love Artie but just tired of the "show your stuff' routine. The staff itself is way more interesting than the the majority of guests they book. Gotta give it to the Howard 100 news team, they are great especially Steve Langford. The vault is not nearly updated often enough considering the amount of material they have!
