Towards the end when Cal has a sudden insight, "How did Ann Collins know how much Sonia was being paid?" and then rushes to Collins office and confronts Collins. Does this mean Collins shared knowledge of these crimes with his wife?
shareNo. I assume he told her that Sonia was a spy placed in his employ - to make him look like a victim - "Sweetie, she seduced me! She was PAID to do so!"
share It was used like a red herring to make you think the wife was a suspect at the end, lol .
However, I felt like they edited something out that would have resolved this part of the story better. As such, it felt like a dangling loose end that made you wonder if you missed something.
OF COURSE he shared knowledge of the crimes...HE HAD TO inform the wife of the details that he was going to tell the newspaper BEFORE he and his wife went to the newspaper to spill the story...
He mentioned the $26,000/month to his wife forgetting that this info had not been disclosed to him...He probably mentions this to her within the context of telling her some of the story, because he wanted to emphasize that Sonia was being manipulated by so much money (ergo he didn't look like quite as big a putz)..It was easier on his ego as he was a bit insecure about the way his wife saw him....He slipped up....
