What's the deal with Ruby?

Ok, I'm one of those people who grew up with the original movie, and thought the sequels dumbed it down a lot. However, I still think the sequels are enjoyable enough...although annoying that they discard so many new characters...and they added songs, which I could do without.

Anyway, I knew about the series, but it was always on after I had already gone to work. Well, since Cartoon Network moved the time to 8:30, I've been watching it. I have to say, I like it much better than the sequels so far. They could still do without the songs, but the plots are pretty clever for the short time they're on. I love Chomper, he's definately getting more character development here.

The question though, is what's the deal with Ruby? I like her a lot, but did they introduce her at all, or was she just "there" from the start? They mentioned something about her parents letting her take care of Chomper in the caves, but where did she come from and is there an episode that shows that?

Well i can put some of your questions to bed so to speak.

Heres the back story so far with ruby.

Her and chomper were togather after chomper left the mysterious island we dont know how they got togather or how chomper got off the island to begin with sot heres a plot hole there. But with the 2 of them togather heres the backstory to date as seen in starsay celebration. Ruby and chomper were sent to learn how chompers friends in the great vally work togather. "ruby its very important that you and chomper learn how chompers friends in the great vally work to gather and bring that knowlage back her as it can help of to defend our selves from (roar heard in back ground) (all chars yelling) red claw!!. Rubies mother come children this way. (chomper to) ruby follow me this way"

Rubies back story is not as well developed as chompers is. Now they have only aired about 1/2 of season 1 so far so theres still alot of time in this season to develop all their stories more.

As for chomper they really made him in to a great charector the voice actor max burkholder is doing a insanly good job with him. For that matter the voice cast in general is abolutly top notch.

Other things you are sure to see is they are doing charector pair ups and developing interrelation ship back stories with the chars.

The shift to 8:30 isn't permanent, by the way. It's going back to 9:30 next week.

Aw, crap, now how am I going to see the rest of the episodes? I don't have Tivo, or any way to record, so oh well. I liked what I've seen though.

Since we4 are halfway through the season I think Ruby's mom and her two brothers will show up by the end of the season and for Redclaw if he runs into Bron's heard they will definately kill him.

Dout redclaw we be delt with before the shows finale. Simply put the entire story line of the show states chomper and ruby are in the valley to learn how to work togather to get rid of red claw. So when hes gone the show will have run its course. Not to say they could not have a spin off but the current series is about learning how to get rid of redclaw. See previous post of mine where i qouted ruby chomper and rubies parent and siblings.

I agree Red Claw will be killed in the season finale. But maybe Ruby's mom meets Bron's heard and that take Red Claw as a team, that would be a great way to end the season.

Idea for season 2 Bron goes to the Great Valley.

Why doesnt ruby's parents go to the great valley with ruby?
i know ruby and chomper are trying the make it safe from red claw.
but couldnt the family go to a safe place.

Everything Ruby says is so unnecessary and she is always just stating the obvious, but she is still my 2nd favorite character.
