Just how inappropriate is this movie? Like, estimating, how many scenes are there that are inappropriate? And by inappropriate I don't mean violence, I mean like sexuality, or nudity...

As far back as I can remember, I've always wanted to be a gangster.

The F word is used frequently in this movie. (And I do mean FREQUENTLY) There is a brief, unnecessary sex scene involving Antonio and Jenny and her breasts are shown. In the scene following that, young Dito and young Laurie are on the roof, talking about how they want to F each other. (Sadly, we're supposed to believe that they loved each other. I never got that impression.) Also there's a scene where Dito and other kids are in a classroom, and Dito notices that one of his friends is walking on the church rooftop naked.

I kind of liked the sex scene with Antonio and Jenny. I agree that it wasn't essential to the movie, but I think it helped add to the gritty/slice of life atmosphere. I thought it was interesting because that's how it is for a lot of teenagers. They're just curious about sex, they're not really in love with other. With Antonio and Jenny, there was nothing the least bit "romantic" about the scene, it was purely physical (and more than a little awkward). In that way, it seemed very very real -- certainly not like anything you'd see in a Hollywood movie. I thought it was a nice contrast between the following scene (Dito and Laurie), since those two did have romantic feelings for each other.

Overall, I don't think there's much in this movie I'd say was "inappropriate" - it's not a movie for children obviously, but for adults, there's nothing that's wrong to see.

The problem with that scene, as I said before, is that I just wasn't convinced that they were in love or that they even liked each other that much. I don't know. Maybe it was the director's fault, or the fault of the actors. Or maybe it was because of the lines they were saying. But I didn't feel like they really had a connection. Not just in that scene, either.

Then again, maybe it's because young Laurie irritated the hell out of me.

Wow how utterly amazing and depressing that you consider sexuality/nudity as inappropriate. So I suppose it's inappropriate for you to shower naked, yeah? Or to masturbate, yeah?

Adrineyinabottle- violence is inappropriate. To cause other people physical or emotional pain is an indecent thing to do. Having sex is a beautiful and natural thing to do. I really hope you're not a parent. Really, really hope you're not a parent. Don't breed the wrong kind of human.
