The F-word

This was a good film. My older sister and I both liked it quite a lot. But did anyone else feel like it had the F-word just too much? It had enough profanity to rival "South Park: Bigger, Longer, and Uncut" and "Full Metal Jacket", but in the latter two movies it's often played off for humor, and the directors are both aware of just how much language they put into the film. But with "A Guide to Recognizing Your Saints," the writer/director just plops it into almost every single sentence. Frequently it appears twice, or even thrice, in one sentence. Like I said, it didn't make me hate the film, but it just seemed a bit too gratuitous.

Yeah I'm not a huge fan of *beep* in every sentence but I think it fit really well in the film. Antonio swore a lot but it suited him perfectly. I would have cut down on the F's with Dito because it just looked like he was swearing because it was socially expected.

Yeah, I agree with you. I did enjoy the film I thought it was worthy of a 7.5/10 but I must say that the scene with Dawnson and Downey on the rooftop had too much swearing in it!

the final result could also be the actors. it mainly fit with Antonio's character, but when Dito said it, it seemed a little off, because he was supposed to be the nice kid.
