What ethnicity?

What is Dito's and Antonio's ethnicity?? I thought they were Italians, but then I saw the last name Montiel, its Spanish as far as I know. Then I realised why they called Dito's old man Monty. And they obviously have a beef with Puerto Ricans, so they can't be that. So what are they??

My theory on Feds is that they're like mushrooms: feed them *beep* keep them in the dark.

I was wondering that too and I looked it up ... his father is Nicaraguan, his mother is Irish

In New York back than if you're Irish on one side then you were seen as Irish. If your a mutt (I'm Irish and German) you side with the background that is the most overt. De Niro is a mutt but he's more connected to his Italian side. Dito was seen as Irish even though he's got a more ethnic background.
