I can't believe that Clash of the Titans and Percy Jackson are getting
sequels but not this. What a shame
sharesequels but not this. What a shame
shareI'm really excited about Percy Jackson getting the sequel. Fox did a terrible job of bringing the first book to life and almost ruined it of being the next Harry potter movie franchise. Did you not like Percy Jackson & The Lighting Thief?

I didn't love Prince of Persia, but I would definitely much rather see a sequel to it than Clash of the Titans.
shareI did like Prince of Persia a lot and if they don't make a sequel, then Disney never had any faith in the franchise.

I liked Clash of the Titans. Im glad its getting a sequel. But making a sequel to Prince of Persia would make more sense. This has Epic Franchise written all over it. Its hard to make a hit out of the first movie of a franchise that only video gamers know about, but considering PoP is the #1 grossing video game movie, i consider that a big win and a sequel should have been green lighted months ago.
shareWOW are you kidding me... clash of the titans= same old *beep*
shareClash of the Tiatns made money at the box office. Percy Jackson broke even. POP lost money at the BO. That is why it will never get a sequel and being the highest grossing movie based on a video game franchise is faint praise when you consider the history of video game adaptations.
share"POP lost money at the BO."
Well, that's not true. Prince of Persia actually won money : 335 millions $ at the box office (worldwide, not US). For a 200 millions $ budget, it's not the jackpot, I agree, but it's decent. The movie didn't lost money and even made it. Less than a Pirates of the Caribbean, of course (far from it), but it could worth it to make a sequel.
Maybe with a lowest budget. Which wouldn't be difficult... 200 millions $ ? come on ! that's disproportionate, there should be ways to make savings without ruining that kind of film. The first PotC budget was "only" 140 millions and it wasn't cheap at all. How do they spent all that money, I wonder (I'd love to know how, actually, just curious).
Anyway...
Even if I would like to see a sequel (or two, after all, the games were a trilogy), I doubt there even will be a project to do it. Disney wants easy money more than before, now that the John Carter's event happened (this one was a big flop)... Making a Warrior Within would be too risky for them. :(

If this film is anything like sinbad and clash of the titans i want to see this. Ive not seen yet and i like fantasy films with a middle eastern feel about it......romantic and feel good factor escapism
