Sequel syndrom

I wonder if wishing for a sequel all the time is some kind of psychological affliction :) I see people talking on this board about wanting a sequel. Why on earth would you want a sequel to a finished story.

Hardly a condition. I suspect the people wanting a sequel are those who enjoyed the film, and want to see more of the characters. Just because the story is complete, doesn't mean they couldn't have more adventures.

Yes even the movie title appeared to suggest it was to be the first of a hoped for many. Alas! It doesn't look as if it's ever really likely to happen.
