Sadly, I'm not in that area, but I will have my eyes on it. It's being described as a film noir comedy attracts me.

I killed him for money and for a woman. I didn't get the money... and I didn't get the woman.

Is the cast going to be at the May 1st premiere? I'm having the hardest time trying to find out the details. The Tribeca website wasn't much help & I also received an e-mail from them saying that they can't guarantee if the cast will be there. Any info on the after-party? Thanks!!

I for one will be anxiously awaiting comments from those who see this at the Festival. Mockery of film noir works sometimes in movies like Dead Men Don't Wear Plaid and Kiss Kiss Bang Bang, and sometimes it doesn't, so I'll be waiting...

yes i see what you mean, like the black dahlia didnt work..oh wait they were actually trying :-/

reply

You're implying that The Black Dahlia is a mockery of film noir? Now, that ain't nice! However, I agree.

can someone who's been to one of these film screenings answer a question for me? according to the TFF website, there are no advance tickets left for sale - door sale is the only option (at least for the ideal days). is there going to be a ridiculously long line?

reply

I just went to go see it last night and I did door sales. I got there about 15 minutes before showtime and was the last person to get a ticket. Granted the line was only about 20 people long. If you wanna go, get there early. I've heard about 45 minutes is appropriate. As this is one of the films that is selling out quickly. I went on a Thursday at 10pm and there were only 20 open seats available.

GO SEE THIS MOVIE!
