Tribeca - Premiere

did anyone attend last night's premier screening? is it worth $18? non-spoiler details?

reply

I liked it it was very light hearted...I'm not big into rom coms but I liked this one a bit, it is really a matter of taste though in the end,

I loved it. It was almost more of a comedy with a little romance, than a traditional rom-com. I can't wait to see it again.

I also attended the screening last night and thought Cillian was funny, quirky and adorable in this role, on the other and far, far, VERY FAR side of the spectrum that we are used to seeing him in. And the chemistry between Lucy's and Cillian's characters is absolutely sizzling. The sound, video and cinematograhy itself seemed to me a little 'off' though, but it could have been technical problems at the theater.

I hope it gets good distribution, after Tribeca and since it will now screen at Cannes.

When is it due to screen in the UK and what was the general response from the Tribeca premiere?

reply

I didn't go to the premiere, but I went tonight, the second screening. It was a very good movie! Lots of laughs and highly entertaining. Some very cute one-liners. I definitely recommend it. Heck, the Q&A session after the movie with Paul Soter was worth the $18 alone!

anyone knows when it will be released worldwide?

reply

No news on that yet. Word is that a few companies are interested in distributing it...hopefully something good happens soon! Keep your fingers crossed :)

oh i hope so too. i stood in line for an hour and a half yesterday only to be told that there was no way in hell we'd get in. all the way to midtown for nothing (excluding a non-celebratory blue moon).

I've seen it twice now, crazy right? It's worth it. It's funny, it's quirky, it's not your average run of the mill romantic comedies. And it's far from the likes of Garden State and Elizabethtown.
