DVD will be at Blockbuster June 2.

A friend who works at Blockbuster said they just got a bunch of copies.
I guess it will be a Blockbuster Exclusive for 2 months, then be available everywhere else.

ahhh,
this is the best news!..

So far it is rental only, and on June 3rd . It will not be released for sale until August 12th, per Blockbuster.com rentals (http://www.blockbuster.com/catalog/movieDetails/305428) and other sources. Have not been able to find it in Blockbuster stores lists yet.

It is on my list for next week's online rentals, but I want to OWN IT after this LOOOONG wait!

HOOOOORAY for BLOCKBUSTER!

It's too bad it seems to have been a direct-to-DVD release. I wound up watching it through VEOH on the suggestion of another user on this board. I thought it was a really good romantic comedy. Maybe the distributors just didn't know how to promote a romantic comedy featuring two somewhat quirky leads, neither of them particularly known for comedy. Although, anyone who's seen his entire body of work, (as I nearly have) would know that Cillian Murphy has a very dry sense of humour which informs pretty much all his character work. In fact, some of the most intense scenes in "Breakfast on Pluto"(a very funny picaresque) have some genuinely funny moments (without giving much away, I refer to the a scene where Kitten has to talk her way out of a situation with some pissed-off IRA lads, and another in which she is interrogated by English police officers). Lucy Liu was really funny when she hosted SNL back when she was helping plug the first Charlie's Angels movie.

I think some people think Cillian Murphy is too beautiful to play an ordinary Joe but he really can pull it off (he did in "Intermission"). His features are a bit delicate for traditional 'leading man' roles but he can certainly pull off a convincing arty slacker/musician type. I've know plenty of really cute guys of that ilk. The other difficulty would probably be the ethnicity of the leading lady. It's really too bad that the folks behind these decisions don't actually look around them at the real world which increasingly includes mixed-race couples, and the offspring of these couples who want to see themselves represented on screen.

Anyway, I'm glad it is available for viewing other than on my laptop.

Well, direct-to-video films are mostly good notioned buy badly produced films for out-of-good favor talent. The rest are unmarketed gems like "Renegade", an trippy western starring Vincent Cassel and "WTD", which I'll see after liking the trailer a lot.

I just rented it this morning and loved it. It's funny and very entertaining, the acting of course is really good. Not surprising that Cillian nailed it, but even Lucy was kinda cute in it. The story is quirky and silly but completely believable. I loved how gullible Cillians character is he plays it well. It should have been released in some independent theaters, but I guess neither Lucy or Cillian has the star power yet to draw in the crowds

i saw this at blockbuster finally and i really liked the trailer, but i'm still debating renting it because i dont wanna be disappointed, the only reason i want to see it to be honest is because cillian murphy is one of my fave actors. its cool to see him doing something thats a bit more out of his element. but i'm not sure yet...
