Again for those that don't get it SPOILER ALERT>

I know not many ppl have seen the movie yet so pls don't read if you haven't seen it

For those that have seen it question.
Was Violet stalking Neil in order to just have someone steal the money for her. I know she loves him but it's almost as if she stalked him from the beginning. The scene in the beginning of the movie in the video store I'm starting to doubt she was ever talking to anyone she was just baiting him wasn't she?
Also doesn't this movie glorify stealing..hahahahahahahaha

I really don't think she was stalking him from the beginning, I was under the impression she genuinely liked him from the start. It was just that he came into her life at a good time and she used him to steal the money at the end.

I love the music playing when Neil and the friends are driving up to the park and see Violet. But seriously if you had a friend who's g/f lied and said she brought the food and you find out she's lying wouldn't you tell him she's a nutcase and run as fast as he could.

Um absolutely - and they thought she was "cute." I would've been like "ditch her and ditch her fast, she's crazy!"
She also never mentions the fact that she took her 50 bucks back and that he didn't actually lose it - not that it matters anyway because she returned the video but, I dunno...

one thing that kind of bugged me was that violet's character did a complete 180 from the time she entered the store to the time she checked out the video

i mean, when she's on the phone she seems completely normal, almost uptight, and then suddenly she's quirky, laid-back and messing around. i really enjoyed this movie but that inconsistency stood out to me.

She was just a weird cute person. She never wanted to seem boring to him. She felt she had to compete with all the movie stars that he loves. That's why she did all those things... keep him guessing.

Keep him guessing but don't commit felonies, lie, steal and cheat to keep him guessing. She was deranged and I would worry about a friend that dated someone like her.
