Obvious enough question. The movie was okay, different from your average Kate Hudson piece of shht rom com, but it made no sense why I never ever tries to play tricks on her in return.

Especially since they clearly set up that he's that kind of person too, when he pays the waiter to spill water on his ex to watch her reaction. Very odd. Kind of a missed opportunity, although at the same time I can see where that would have been kind of cheesy.
