It has so many references to film and it does them all so subtle and funny like.

I think real life is better than movies. But when cool stuff isn't happening, I gladly drown my woes in movies.

Agreed. I fully enjoyed this movie. It's quirky so I can understand it's not for everyone but I had a blast.
