But i LOVED the movie. My friend and i were just talking about how we couldnt imagine him in a comedy. He actually made me laugh and had the charm to do it. :) Breakfast on Pluto was a little silly, but it was still semi-serious. I think this movie proved that he is completely versatile.
The part that made me laugh the most was when Cillian was signing for the package and was yelling "Where's the adventure?" and the UPS guy said "You just signed it Neil Adventure...um, you just crossed out Adventure and wrote Adventure again" I laughed so hard. xD
I knew I'd create a sensation, gasped the Rocket. Then he went out.
I think that's why Cillian did this movie to show he can do comedy, and as a lead in a comedy, he was really great. I thought it was cute and interesting and not dull at all. It even had some laugh out loud moments such as when he's crying and running around the baseball diamond, or when he tells the old g/f she's the problem...hahahahahaha I think this would have done ok in the smaller independent theaters. Lucy was cute and in really good shape for a 40 year old woman. Wow I hope I look like that when i'm her age. Eventhough she's not my first choice for roles she was definitly ok in this film. Overall yes it's perdictable, but so what it's fun, interesting and to me fast paced I mean I never got bored. I've seen it 3 times now and still love it.
I agree that he's so versatile! I'd never seen Cillian do anything but serious characters, and I had just seen Red Eye for the first time the day before I saw this movie. He was great as Neil. Very cute! He made me laugh.
Wow, I think Cillian can do anything. He's probably my new favorite actor.
Yeah. Before I'd seen this film, most of the films I'd seen Cillian in were serious. I was pleased and surprised by how he came across as goofy, random, and hilarious in this. He truelly made me laugh and was so adorable.
