Fake

This movie bugs me of how fake it is. The part that especially bugs me is the fact that they make Biggie look like if he's a saint. Like if he was an angel that never got in any beef and that he tried to stop the beef with Tupac, and blame it all on Tupac. I mean, i know that it wasn't his fault the thing happened, but it wasn't Tupacs neither.

I AGREE. THIS WAS A TYPE OF DRAMATIC...INSPIRATIONAL? FILM. YET B.I.G. ALWAYS DEPICTED THEMSELVES AS "GANGSTER" LIKE IN MOVIES LIKE THE GODFATHER OR SCARFACE OR GOODFELLAS OR A BLACK GHETTO VERSION OF ANY GANGSTER MOVIE LIKE THAT. YET THEYRE PORTRAYED AS DRAMATIC AND INSPIRATION WHICH IS NOT WHAT THEY TRIED TO PORTRAY THEMSELVES AS. THEN YOU HAVE PEOPLE WHO TRY TO DEPICT THEMSELVES AS INSPIRATIONAL SAINTS AND THEN THEYRE DEPICTED AS HEARTLESS BLOODSUCKERS IN THE MOVIES ABOUT THEM...OH THE IRONY. I MEAN ITS LIKE JESUS GANDHI MLK MALCOLM X TUPAC OR ANY HISTORICAL FIGURE...PARTICULARLY WHO IS DEAD...THEY GO FROM BEING MISSED WHEN THEYRE DEAD TO NOT SAYING ANYTHING NEGATIVE ABOUT THEM AT ALL DESPITE THE TRUTH ABOUT THE NEGATIVITY IN THEIR OWN LIVES AND THEYRE DEPICTED AS SAINTS. MY GUESS IS ITS BECAUSE IF THIS WAS DEPICTED AS A GANGSTER FLICK INSTEAD OF A DRAMA INSPIRATIONAL FLICK IT WOULD HAVE MADE LESS MONEY THE PRODUCERS AND COMPANIES AND SUITS THOUGHT. AND ARE THEY WRONG? I MEAN NOWADAYS THE GANGSTER TYPE IS OF COURSE GOING TO ILLEGALLY DOWNLOAD EVERYTHING WHILE THE INSPIRATIONAL DRAMA IS SOMETHING LIKE LATE NIGHT SOCCER MOM LIKE THAT DONT ILLEGALLY DOWNLOAD IT THUS MAKES MORE MONEY. BUT I DIGRESS.

They didn't portray Big as a saint. He had flaws; he wanted material riches, he sold crack to a pregnant woman, he walked out on his mom after finding she has cance he vowed fidelity to Faith yet cheated on her several times, was quick to anger too, if not for Puffy being ther to calm him down. If anything, this movie paints Sean Combs as a saint, and Biggie as his follower.

"Don't cry, it is to be; in time I'll take away your miseries and make 'em mine... D'Evils."
